With the abolition of industrial tariffs as of 01.01.2024, there is the question of whether a certificate of origin is still required for import customs clearance.
The answer to this question is no if the goods will definitely remain in Switzerland. However, if the imported goods are exported again unchanged or if they serve as input material for cumulation, then a proof of origin is still necessary.
